Box 32158 Philadelphia, PA 19146 Dear Friends: The Officers and the Board of Directors cordially invite your organization to participate in our display of Irish Culture in honor of Saint Patrick - The Patron Saint of Ireland - The Annual Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade. This year's parade will be held on Sunday March 9, 2008. The Theme of the 2008 parade is: St Patrick, Bless All Those Serving the People of God. Our Grand Marshal of the 2008 parade is John P. "Jack" McNamee, former owner of CJ McGees restaurant, former General Manager of Williamson's City Line restaurant, longtime member of AOH Joseph E. Montgomery Division 65, Cardinal Dougherty High School Alumni, former President and 30 plus year member of the St. Patrick's Day Observance Association, Jack lives in Springfield Delaware County with his wife Loretta and son Sean and is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. The opening mass will be celebrated by Cardinal Justin Rigali at Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul, 18th and Ben Franklin Parkway. The Mass begins at 9:00AM. The parade will begin promptly at 11:00AM at Broad St. & Washington Ave. We will discuss this at the next general meeting, which will be held at the Double Tree Hotel at Broad & Locust Sts. in Philadelphia, on January 10th, 2008 at 8:00 PM. You are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting. All organizations are required to have two card carrying Associate Members of the St. Patrick's Day Observance Association in the line of march. Annual dues are $15.00 per year, per member ( Total $ 30.00 Due ), payable with your parade application. Parade Application Fee: The application fee to march in the parade is $ 130.00 if paid before December 30. The fee includes two yearly Associate Memberships for the St. Patrick's Day Observance Association. The following groups will be exempt from this fee: School Groups or Organizations (not Alumni) & Bands. We will still require exempt groups to fill out an application for our records and to be placed in the Line of March. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us. We also require each participant in your organization to purchase an official Parade Badge to be worn on the day of the parade. Badges must be ordered on your application form below. You may combine the Application Fee and Badge money in one check, but please write the breakdown on the check.

Below please find an application, a parade agreement and a television biography sheet. Please fill out these pages and return them along with a check for $130.00 plus badge money. All applications and supporting documents must be received by December 30th. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to seeing you at the January meeting at the Double Tree Hotel. Applications received after December 30th will be placed at the end of the parade, with a penalty fee due, so please try to get your application in on time.
In honor of St. Patrick, This is an application only and does not constitute acceptance into the Parade. All applications will be reviewed, and the Parade Director will send out all acceptance letters. Please note there are 2 sections below, The "Online Application" and the "Television Biography". Both must be filled out before clicking the "Submit" button. A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after submitting the application.
