Grand Marshal Nominations for 2023 are CLOSED for the General Public and Groups
Grand Marshal Nominations - We will accept nominations from Oct 1 to Oct 15, 2022 at 5:00 PM for the 2023 Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal and suggestions for the theme for the 2023 parade. The Grand Marshal will be honored at many events leading up to the parade and shall lead the Parade on parade day. The Grand Marshal will be someone who exemplifies good citizenship, who brings credit to the Irish tradition and embodies the spirit and purpose of the St. Patrick's Day Observance Association. Nominations should include biographical information about the nominee, support as to why the nominee should be considered for the role of Grand Marshal, as well as appropriate contact information.
The Grand Marshal Nomination process will follow the same
format this year. Last year we received some nominations for
people with only their name with no background information. It
is impossible to evaluate all the good candidates without sufficient
biographical information.
In order to be considered, you will have to submit the entry
through emails or regular mail. Our nominating committee will then
submit the information to our board for review.
The nomination must have information about the person
submitting the nomination including name, address, phone and email
address. We need a background biography or resume sheet on the
qualifications of why the person should be Grand Marshal. Nominations
will be accepted from the general public starting October 1 and will end at
5:00 PM October 15.
Nominations for Grand Marshal suggestions
can be sent via email or postal mail starting October 1 through October 15, 5:00 PM. It can be sent to: info@phillyparade.com or St.
Patrick’s Day Observance Association, PO Box 36629, Philadelphia, PA
19107.
Thank you everyone for your support!
